Lets mobilize and inspire
armies of grassroots
online storytellers!!
Lasting equality requires deep social change. By sharing our stories and asking honest questions we can change hearts and minds from fear and bias to understanding and love.
But how? What do people need to know about me? What's the best way to tell it?
And how can Web 2.0 technologies help make sure the right stories get to the people who need them most?
STORYSUMMIT!
In response to the LGBTQ equality movement’s growing call to “tell our stories," StorySummit is bringing together movement leaders, activists, allies, & friends to:
1) Discuss & discover how to most powerfully tell our stories to different audiences
2) Train, inspire, & motivate everyone to tell, record, and share their stories
3) Provide a Web 2.0 networking infrastructure for sharing stories online
4) Begin to build a rich & diverse online story repository
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
As an LGBTQ person, activist, ally - or just someone who cares a lot about equality - StorySummit is a unique and powerful opportunity to learn and help shape our movement's next steps.
HOW DO I ATTEND?
You can join in from any telephone or computer.
Just follow these easy steps:
1) Register.
2) Look for an email from StorySummit. It will contain details about how to connect into the event.
3) Just before 6pm PST / 9pm EST on April 22, get to a computer or telephone, and join the conversation!
WHAT IF I'M BUSY THAT NIGHT?
We'd love to have you with us during the live event - we want your input and feedback. But, if you can't attend, an edited version of the event will be available for download.
We hope to see you on April 22!
